Residential trips that inspire a lifelong love of outdoor adventure

A Rootd school residential trip is all about finding the fun and adventure in every moment. We don’t just offer days of back-to-back activities, we create a fully immersive experience for children, where they can get back to basics and find the adventure in nature.

Our primary school residential trips and secondary school residential trips are designed to inspire every child to get involved and work closely with their classmates to achieve their goals. Whether this is building a shelter together or guiding each other on the high ropes, students learn resilience and the importance of teamwork through fun and exciting activities.

Tailored trips for primary and secondary school

From the moment you book your trip, we make sure we get to know you and your students. We then design the ideal trip for you, incorporating activities that we know will bring out the best in your students.

When you’re with us, we’ll take the time to get to know each and every student, building relationships with them and responding to their needs and interests on a personal level.

Why Rootd?
teamwork activities

Activities that celebrate teamwork and resilience

Developing students’ life skills and building their resilience as they explore the outdoors is the aim of our trips, so we plan them carefully around the principles of forest schools teaching.

Through outdoor adventure, we encourage independent thinking, creativity and teamwork – skills that will benefit them all once they’re back in the classroom.
