Inspire a lifelong love of nature through immersive outdoor adventure

Image

At Rootd everything we do is designed to help children find inspiration and adventure in nature, allowing them to really shine in the great outdoors.

For Year 3 and 4 students, a shorter school residential trip designed for younger children can be the perfect introduction to outdoor learning and adventure. Children still experience the excitement of being away from home with their class, but without the higher costs and timetable disruption that often comes with a longer stay.

What a fabulous outdoor adventure trip run by a passionate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic team at Rootd. A real adventure in a forest setting getting in touch with nature. Delicious food, caring advice and guidance, exciting activities and excellent behaviour management. We can't wait to come back!

1. A nature-based night away

A one-night adventure trip with a forest focus, this is the perfect introduction to being away from home. Children explore the outdoors, learn new skills and develop their knowledge of British wildlife, before playing evening games and settling into their cosy overnight accommodation.

A Rootd school residential trip for Years 3 and 4 is great fun for children and focuses on building confidence and resilience through a range of challenging, nature-based activities.

Working closely together, children have a chance to test themselves away from the classroom and develop important life skills, including:

  • Listening skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Social skills
  • Teambuilding

Children will leave their one or two-night stay feeling proud of their achievements and inspired to go on and explore more of the great outdoors.

When you choose a Rootd residential trip, there are no long coach journeys with children cooped up on a coach for hours. Our woodland locations are conveniently close to London.

Located just north of Watford, set in 95 acres of meadows and natural woodland, our Hertfordshire activity centre is within easy reach of the M1 and M25.  Quick travel times means happier children who can make the most of their time exploring the outdoors.
