At Rootd we've been working with schools delivering outdoor adventures for over 12 years, so we know what gets children motivated and how to get the best out of them.

Many schools come to us for their school residential trips after previous experiences using big trip providers, which can feel impersonal rushed, and crowded.  At Rootd things are very different, and we believe there's many reasons why we really are a school trip organiser with a difference.

3 Reasons to choose a school trip organiser with a difference

Discover our woodland villages

Many residential centres have accommodation that is tired and uninspiring. From our bell tents with bunk beds, chill-out spaces, games and teacher areas to our cosy woodland pods decorated with nature murals and indoor spaces that are designed to "bring the outside in", the adventure starts with our accommodation!

    Meet our inspirational team

We couldn't deliver the unique trips we do without our highly trained and dedicated team. With the groups from breakfast to bedtime, our Rootd group leaders work together to make the trips as inspiring and memorable as they can for every child.

They don't just stand on the sidelines, they get stuck and work alongside your group.  They're great at really connecting with students, and it's often our team that children talk about long after the trip is over.

    Activities and fun

Developing students' life skills and building their resilience as they explore the outdoors is the aim of our trips.  Activities are designed to inspire every child to get involved and encourage independent thinking, creativity and teamwork.  Whether this is building a shelter together or guiding each other on the high ropes, students learn resilience and the importance of working together through fun and exciting activities.
