Inspire a lifelong love of nature through immersive outdoor adventure

Girls crate stacking

A Rootd school residential trip for Years 4 and 5 is great fun for children and focuses on building confidence and resilience through a range of challenging, adventurous and nature-based activities.

Working closely together, children have a chance to test themselves away from the classroom and develop important life skills, including:

  • Listening skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Social skills
  • Teambuilding

Children will leave their one or two-night stay feeling proud of their achievements and inspired to go on and explore more of the great outdoors.

What’s included in a Rootd Year 4 and 5 school residential trip?

Our Year 4 and 5 school trips are tailored to the needs of you and your students, and you can choose from a number of options:

1. A nature-based night away

A one-night adventure trip with a forest focus, this is the perfect introduction to being away from home. Children explore the outdoors, learn new skills, before playing evening games and settling into their cosy overnight accommodation.

2. An adventure-based night away

On this one-night adrenaline-filled residential, children take part in a range of outdoor activities, such as archery, high ropes and our Survivor Bushcraft session, before enjoying evening games and snuggling down in their accommodation.
